Par for the course.

As usual, when I last had my 97SS worked on, the mechanic neglected to put things back the way they are supposed to go...

Can someone please tell me if the radiator air deflector is in (2)pieces?

I noticed that just behind the hood latch that there is plastic piece that apparently is supposed to be fastened to the lower air deflector by 2 fasteners (i.e, the top of the air deflector attaching to the bottom air deflector. Is this correct?

If so I guess I need to drop by the dealer and get the 2 fasteners.

Any confirmation of this and how to do it right will be appreciated.

On a side note, it seems that EVERY time I have a car worked on there is ALWAYS something missing when I get it back. Good reason to do your own work.

Thanks for any info on this.

Had dealer fax me a diagram of that area. Looks like those fasteners connect some sort of baffle. They don't even have the fasteners. They want to sell me the entire baffle piece for 30 bucks.

Could someone take a look just behind their hood latch and see what kind of fasteners those things are. i.e, screws, push plugs, etc.?

Thanks much.

Cool

Take the pics from Shoebox. Go to dealership and show to Service Manager and ask why you need whole piece and not just the push pins. They should provide the hardware at no cost if you have to button up the job because they didn't. That is total BS.

FORE!
