I think I would just invest in some bolt ons or a K&N and not dick around with the chances of getting debris in my engine.. Thats just me though.

The only way I might use panthose underhood is as a prefilter over the K&N(or other washable as you see fit) as it will effectively keep big stuff like bugs and leaves out of the little folds and stuff in the filter.

I thought the whole idea was invent but some dirt trackers who put panty hose over the cone style filters so the filter would not be ruin after one run. Just change you pantyhose and run again. =)
