hi there,
i painted my TES headers and they look fine... just dont use anything with 500' marks...
and no clear coat... use anything with 1200' no less....
i used silver/aluminum and they looked great untill the 500' clear burned off!!
so dont use clear coat...just 1200' paint!!!

The 500 deg. is design for the engine block. The 1200deg. is more for the exhaust manifold which does get hot. Since you don't have the cash for a good coating job. The 1200 paint will do. Just prep the area very good and remove any rust / grease from them and paint them in lite coats evenly. I've done this to my chevelle headers which came out o.k. but after a few moths there starting to peel.
