Paint the headgaskets?
Paint the headgaskets?
My friend helping me build my motor said that because it will probably see nitrous that we should paint the headgaskets. According to him, my felpro gasket set has teflon coated headgaskets and that nitrous doesn't like teflon very much. He said he has something similar to caliper paint that he uses on his 81 camaro because he sprays. Has anyone heard of this?
Re: Paint the headgaskets?
Painting the gaskets is a great way to get high and low spots in thegasket surface and a good way to blow out the gasket which is more trouble than it is worth. I used fel pro gaskets on all of my nitrous motors. None of them had a problem!!

No this really helps!!! You gotta use the interior paint though cause itll soak into the gasket and be smooth, then you can pull off your taillights and boil em for two hours to boil out the tint and you will have altezzas! DOnt forget to change the air in your tires form winter air to summer air after your done!!!

LT1Ownz...you seem to have forgotten some other procedures....
To prevent headlights burning out at high speed, change the halogen fluid with high performance H2SO4
Also...to make your car lighter, remove anything non essential. Since you will be pulling wheelies all day long, you won't need front tires anymore...just take them off
The coat your entire car in Teflon...it'll slide through the air better
