You guys with Pacsetter headers, I would like to know what kind of converter your running? Anyone here have a Random Tech cat converter?

What does that have to do with the headers exactly? My friend has pacesetters with the stock cat gutted and stright pipes like a loudmouth with no resonator. cc305 too.

I don't have Pacesetter headers, but I AM running a Random Tech Cat.

Why do you ask?

I ask not because w/ problems of the headers but with the CAT. Never by a cat converter from RKSPORT. When I bought my Pacesetters, I bought a 3" high-flow cat from them for $225. Well it only lasted about 20miles. I FAILED emmsions because of it. Turns out the cat was defective and the element got shot out the tailpipe(so it was equal to running a 3" off road pipe). So, I call these morons up and their like "I don't know?" So, after a hassle they send me a new one. I put it on, drive it to emmision and the car passed fine. Just took the car to emmision again and FAILED. I have had the cat on there 2yrs and for ONLY 6,000 miles(3K a year). I have done no mods to the car during that time. My buddy has a Random Tech and he said that the quality was good. So I would like to know if they can hook up to Pacesetters for LT1. I think it will since the Y-pipe has the same 3" outlet as the Edelbrocks, JBAs, and SLPs. All becuase of them, my car has failed, stressed me out, and there are failed comments all over my car's CarFax report. How do explain that to a potential buyer?

John,
that really sucks man. I used to have a Carsound on my 95 and it was pretty good, I liked it. It's cheaper too.
Don't you have warranty through the manufacturer on it?
