That is a very common problem. Mine only does it when I make a turn so it does not bother me to bad.

Re: Pacesetter problems

Yeah, motor mounts is what will cause that problem with the Pacesetter LT's, the only other spot I had an issue with after the motor mount swap was the PS heat shield, it hung down kinda far and would rub the header. I yanked that off and it doesn't rub anywhere now. Your gonna want to get that rubbing fixed because when you are driving it and it rubs the knock sensor will pick it up and retard your timing, causing you to be down on power.

Re: Pacesetter problems

Its hitting badly where the y pipe is 'noched" out already to clear the cross member fort the transmission, the heat shield is also just as stated above, not a hard fix but I have no clearance at that y pipe

When I was installing my pacesetters, I put in a set of Prothane poly motor mounts. You can find them on thunderracing for pretty cheap.

I feel ya on the y pipe touching the chassis, just takes a lot of patience and adjusting. I'm still working mine out.

i went with the Energy suspension poly mounts when I did my LT's...they were pretty easy to do once I got the old shorty headers out really.I had no problems with the Y pipe hitting anything with the new motor mounts.
