Are you happy with them? Was it an easy install?
Anyone have a before and after dyno sheet? If it adds as much power as the Jet Hots? How about the sounds? Anyone notice the same catback with Jethot/Pacesetter LT's tone being any different?
I can get the Pacesetter LT's + Y for under 500$ while the Jet Hots are 500$ alone.
I just don't want to be disappointed with the power/sound of the headers.

Re: Pacesetter Owners...
Instal will still suck with any long tube. The directions they give with it are pretty close to how I did mine though. DO NOT need to jack the motor up. And at one point you WILL need two people. Theres no way to have someone fish the headers up through without someone on top holding the steering linkage back, then the headers come up part way, and you need to push the linkage down past them, then pull the headers into place. If you completely remove the steering linkage though ??? Also youll need a 2nd person to get a bolt started while you hold the headers in place from underneath. And the car needs to be high. I had to have my jackstands as high as they will possibly go and it was still barely enough.
They sound
BAD *** ... Especially with my Flowmaster. Which I beg to differ, it flows as good as any other catback. The Force II Flowmaster doesnt, but the American Thunder one does. It sounds WICKED. And Open headers are awesome. After I do my RR's im getting an E-Cutout to open it up again.
The Y Pipe is OK. Its kind of a bitch to do by yourself. Actually ... its really a bitch to do. And you need to cut part of your cat back and sleave it onto the Y, or have it welded. I sleaved it fine with no leaks.

I don't have pacesetters on my camaro but i do have them on a different car. They do what they are supposed to and they don't sound bad. The only thing i would say is do NOT use the gaskets they give you. They are crap and you will be kicking yourself later when you have to replace them. Go get a real set of gaskets.

Re: Pacesetter Owners...
Once the headers were installed and tourqed down, I went about connecting the Y pipe in this manner ... ( This is all after I pushed the existing catback out of the way, had to unbolt a hanger or two ...)
I put the short piece of the Y into the big part Its to parts if you cant see from the pics of it ... one part slides into the other to form the Y .. Anyways, I sliped that in, then you have to PRY to get it to slip over the collectors. Once its started ( Which isnt hard ) you can only push it on about a 1/4 inch by hand. So then you need to bust out a block of wood and a mallet. And keep tapping on the Side of the Y, then on the back of it. If you dont hit the back of it, the little part of the y croocks and comes out of the big piece of it. It took me about a hour to get it on far enough ... Then I clamped that down. Cut the catback so its flush with the Y and then spent 2 hours trying to finda 3 inch sleave. Once you get the Y cut, you need to have someone pull back on it( Like towards the rear of the car, while you slip the sleave over the back of the Y pipe, and then push the catback forward into the sleave. A bunch of people will say double clamp it, I used only one though and mine has no leaks. Bottom line is that No matter what brand header you get, its still gonna suck *** during the install. These are suppose to be easier to install then Hookers are btw. as well as jethots.

Re: Pacesetter Owners...
I got both of my headers in from the top.All I had to do was remove both valve covers and the steering linkage. My y-pipe, well I couldnt get it to fit right but I had it welded and fixed that problem.
Re: Pacesetter Owners...
How loud would my exhaust be with Pacesetters/Jet Hots through a high-flow cat and a Turbo/Hooker Exhaust? If I decided to stay away from the cats because of financial problems... you think it'll increase the volume that much?

Re: Pacesetter Owners...
I had Hooker LT's and Hooker exhaust, no cats. It wasn't obnoxiously loud, it actually sounded very different and cool. Kinda raspy, actually sounded a lot like my dad's 85 vette. "Tuned" sounding, I dunno, kinda exotic. Definitely different than the Hooker shorties I had on before with the same catback. Also definitely different than a Flowmaster sound, dad had the Flowmaster catback on his 95 Z. Around town it wasn't loud enough to get pulled over, at least I didn't think so, as long as you stay out of it. If you mash it though it's pretty loud. I was happy
Re: Pacesetter Owners...
I have the PS long tubes on my car and true duals. I have no complaints with them at all but like the other guy said I would get some different gaskets and DO NOT use the cheap ones they give you with the headers!
