Pacesetter mid tube headers?

Does anyone have any experience with the pacesetter mid tube headers? Since I live in NY and have to pass inspection/emissions I have decided I want to go with a mid-length header. I hear AS&M or RKsports are the best, but I cant find any forsale for a 96z28 with dual cats. I emailed RKsport and asked if I can just purchase the headers themselves and have a custom y-pipe made. They told me no "The emission fittings are different on the headers themselves". So I came across these on ebay.. what do you think?

Re: Pacesetter mid tube headers?

AS&M stopped making their "dual-cat" headers many years ago, because of problems with them melting everything in the engine compartment with major heat. They only make a single-cat application, which will not meet your emissions requirements.

Do you know of any mid-length headers that hook up to the stock dual cats while keeping emission hookups?

SLP made a set.... not sure if they still make them, because they have pretty much abandoned the LT1 people.

BBK makes a good short and Mid-tube header. If you decide to put headers on your car, go with a coated or stainless steel header. Pacesetter are a good header, and have all the emission tubes and 02 bungs.
