Pacesetter LT's came today

I have to admit, these puppys look good for the money. Nice welds, thick flanges, no welding in the openings that has to be ground down, no slip fit tube, etc. Now if the Y pipe clears my Spohn TA cross brace I'll be set. Is there anyone with long tubes and the Spohn TA that didn't have to get the cross brace that has the extra clearance? I have a 3 inch exhaust and have not found a definate answer to this question. If anyone knows, please chim in.

sleepy, your right, I'm not sure if that picture helps or not. But that is a SWEET looking set-up you have under there. Is the pipe after the right side header bigger than the left, or is it just me? I'm hopeing a 3'' will clear the Spohn, were as your 4'' didn't stand a chance.

Re: Pacesetter LT's came today

Thanks.
What's going on there is that when we fabbed up the Y pipe with the dual dumps, we bent a piece of 3" into an S and cut a hole in the side of the 4" and welded it in. It actually flows together better than that picture shows. It flows good enough for the street and the dumps are open at the track anyways. Here's a pic of the whole system.........

Sorry man, no clip yet. I just got the new 383 running earlier this week. A freind of mine commented last night that it sounded like a pro stock. At some point I'll get a clip. Drop me an email and when I get it, I'll send it to ya. rfrigr8@hotmail.com

My Pacesetter LT's (coated, non-emissions) came today! Boy are they gorgeous!!! I can't wait to install them over xmas break from school. I hope I won't have to jack the motor. Hey Z-RATED94, have you installed yours yet?

Speed Eng. told me there is a 2 week turn around time for the headers so I ordered mine from http://www.redlineperformanceengineering.com/ instead with no wait. Plus their shipping was a little cheaper than Speed Eng.

Re: Pacesetter LT's came today

bozobuttz, the car gets dropped off at Speed Inc. tomorrow. Their going to install the headers, cut-out, 373 gears, and adjust the frik'n Comp R lifters. After that I have to hook up with Ion to have it tuned. He gave me a base tune for now. Hopefully this thing will be running decent within the next few weeks so I can tuck it in the garage. It's normally sleeping by this time every year.
