well worth the money (compared to Hooker, nearly twice the price), go ahead and get the 3" collectors, then find you an SS over the axle pipe (3"also, compliments of SLP) a nice muffler and yes, invest in the Pacesetter ypipe also.

Re: pacesetter headers + install

I have had the Pacesetter LT's,ORY, and Magnaflow catback for awhile now and love it...Looks and sounds great and install was easy...the hard part was getting the old stock manifolds off.

Re: pacesetter headers + install

im happy with the pacesetters, i agree the hardest part of the install was getting the pasenger manifold out. ive only heard of one case of build quality issues with the long tubes and it was taken care of by pace setter. thats the shorties and some of their other products that seem to have those issues

I am not sure what you mean by build quality. IMO nobody can touch there quality for the price. The only thing I know some people don't like is the slip fit design.

Re: pacesetter headers + install

I love mine but the y pipe is a little questionable I wish I would have had a custom one made, plus all the egr and air fiittings don't line up on mine for anything. But the headers are excellent quality

Re: pacesetter headers + install

I am running Pacesetter LTs and Y-Pipe with a Hooker catback and couldn't be happier. They do a lot to liven up the car in both performance and sound. It is worth the money for the coating too - I guarantee that you would not regret it. I found the quality of the Pacesetter headers to be outstanding, and the y-pipe satisfactory. My y-pipe fit without any issues or rubbing, but the quality was nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. I also strongly recommend the Hooker catback with LTs and no cats because it produces a nice mean tone without being unreasonably loud (yes, I tried keeping my SLP Loudmouth without the cats and turned around as soon as I pulled out onto the street).

Re: pacesetter headers + install

I know that I am going to go with Pacesetters when I get the money. Most likely I will get a custom Y pipe, but I have heard nothing but good things about their headers.
