Pacesetter headers,burning wire HELP!!

Just installed headers a couple of days ago. You other guys with pacesetters...how are you keeping from burning #7 plug boot? I've gone through two since install. Can't keep it away. I'm running NGK TR55 plugs. Is there something shorter out there? Any help would be great!!!

I don't make them for our cars, but accell makes spark plugs for headers that are alot shorter, maybe that would help you. You could also try OVC wires.

This last time I did route it over the valve cover...to change angle direction on boot. Still touches header. I don't see much other alternitives other than a shorter plug or trying to beat in that primary tube to get more of a air gap.

Just found out Accel does make a shorty plug for our cars. It is called their "header plug" part# P526S.

I bought some taylor boot covers and haven't had a problem. I zip tied to the plug wire to make sure the stayed where I wanted them.

try using the stock aluminum covers on that one...otherwise Bosch Platinum plugs (the regular kind) are shorter than normal as well (its all I run)
