Pacesetter did some R&D work on my car

I ordered some Pacesetter LT's for my car a few weeks back from New Era. Pacesetter site manager Joe Lee got my # from Mike @ New Era and gave me a call. They installed my headers free of charge in return to use my car. They took down some good notes and they will make a few design changes, they are being inplemented as I'm writing this post. Future Pacesetter LT's will make people !

I don't see where they need any major improvements... IMO, the only real problem is possibly the coating, and the EGR hookup makes installation difficult....it would go in form top if SLIGHTLY in a different place....instead had to jack the engine.

They are going to relocate the AIR connections to make it easier to hook up and rebend the first tube on the driver side so it would wrap better around the steering linkage.

Biggest issue is EVERY SINGLE car the Y pipe hits on the drivers side.

It would be nice if they gave you a set of the improved headers, once they are available.

Re: Pacesetter did some R&D work on my car

they need too make a stepped version with 3.5" collectors
and a 1 3/4" version with 3" collectors, not the 2.75" collectors

I'm sure they are 1 3/4 " primaries and 3" slip collector.

Yeah, I got lucky! I can't imagine doing a header install in this 110+ Degree weather in AZ. right now!

A friend of mine just got Pacesetters. They have 2.75" collectors. We measured snd double checked.

The y-pipe hits the driver's floorboard? News to me my pacesetters don't hit the floorboard at all. Of course I also put new motor mounts in at the same time.

The pacesetters are awfully damn good in my book. Great fit-just wish the coating was a little better.

It's nice to see a company improving their product. Even if it's a product that everybody already likes!
