Absolutely hit on my car, and alot of others. Still, nice workmanship and a good price.

I thinks so too! I mentioned a few issues I've read about on this site and he took them under consideration. I've heard they are a great product, this board helped me decide what to get. Now they will improve, that's cool!

i hear ya,i'm doing my install this weekend in florida, where its 95 but over 70% humidity in the air, lol, its going to be a fun weekend
That's one thing I wouldn't stand, HUMIDITY! It's hot here but it's DRY HEAT! 18% humidity now, a bit high due to Monsoon season. Good luck on that install and have fun!

Mine don't hit on the driver's side at all. The primaries just before the collector hit on the passenger side though. I installed new motor and tranny mounts also.

Re: Pacesetter did some R&D work on my car

I just had mine installed a few days ago and they are great. Add me to the list of people that don't have any problems with the y-pipe hitting anywhere, if it did I'd be really pissed I hate that rattle.

Re: Pacesetter did some R&D work on my car

Questions:

1. When will the redesigned headers be for sale? I am going to be getting a set and would be willing to wait a bit to get the improved version.

2. What installation hardware and Gaskets did they use with your install?

3. Are any of the changes geared towards increased performance?

Thanks

I don't believe it would be worth the wait. I used the supplied paper gaskets, and header bolts, in fact I just pulled the headers off yesterday...the paper gaskets were still PERFECT. I could have used them again, they are fine if used properly and tightened after a few heat cycles. Pacesetter already has GREAT performance for the dollar, if you want better fitment look at Kook's, but as far as I am concerned the pacesetter fit is like a glove....I have seen more clearance issues with Hooker and Jet hot headers than the pacesetter's anyways. More performance? what....not to sound rude here...sounds like you want something for nothing!

1. When I picked up the car last Wed. afternoon he said the changed were being inplemented as we were talking. I'm sure the new design is being produced now.
2. I called him before the install about my concern about people not likeing and having issues with the gaskets that come with the headers, he gave me the option of bringing my own. He their gasket are as good as others out there, the istall needs to be done right he said.
3. Increased performance no, just fittment and installation improvements!
