pace setter headers vs hooker headers
Re: pace setter headers vs hooker headers
i got my pacesetter LTs and y pipe back from redline performance a little over a year ago for 420 bucks...yes thats right folks i said with a y pipe..after coating it came to around 550 shipped to my door..back when it was just bolt ons..a direct comparison before and after..went from 265 rwhp 298 rwtq..all the way up to 291 rwhp 324.4 rwtq..26 rwhp 27 rwtq...hmm not bad?
Re: pace setter headers vs hooker headers
I spent some time trying to figure what LT to buy, then I found a slightly used set with Y-pipe for $400. So I cant complain about price. My Hookers are treating me right, fitment was a sinch, slid right in with almost no effort.

Re: pace setter headers vs hooker headers
I've done just about every header on the market at one time or another. I would definetly say to go with the pacesetters. Installation was by far the easiest of all the long tubes. They fit great and plug access is great. The flanges are thicker, and it seems that someone actually thought about the headers before they made them. By that I mean that they fit so good. Pacsetter definetly has my vote!

Re: pace setter headers vs hooker headers
I bought pacesetters and i bolted in the passenger side first and they go in farly easy but they are WAY to CLOSE to the motor mount(trip the knock sensor it will) and the A/C lines. i riped that header out and returned them and bought KOOKS. the pacesetter coating isnt that thick, alot of factory flaws in the coating as well (my headers atleast) you diffenetly pay for what you get. You should think about that too. if you have a stainless catback save the money and go for stainless headers.
