PA K Members?

Anybody put in a PA K member, I am going to order one and wanted some opinions over the BMR version. Not worried about installing tips, just quality and instalation ease.
thanks!

Don't know much about the BMR but I have a chromoly PA version. The BMR unite is only available in mild steel version which is heavier. I know that BMR claims there k-member is the lightest but I think that claim is because there k-member comes with motor mounts designed into there unite made from mild steel and compared to the stock OEM units if used on the PA if the case would make the PA heavier. Usually most people will change the motor mounts to either solid, motor plate or what ever. I'm using a motor plate with the PA chromoly k-member. Fact is chromoly is going to be lighter than mild steel because you can get away with using a thinner wall tubing in chromoly vs thicker required for mild steel. The chromoly will still be just as strong with the thinner wall compared to the mild steel.

If you do a search and look back I remember some people having a problem with there BMR k-member and where not happy with the k-member. I thought I seen it in the drag section. I have had no problems with the PA todate.

Good Luck!

Actually I been thinking about doing a K-member with upper and lower A-arms. I looked at Both the BMR and PA stuff last weekend on the NET.

I remember reading on here somewhere too with people having problems. I thought it was with the unit not fitting right. But I thought it was PA they were talking about so maybe it was BMR. I don't remember.

I have to research this one out. I have some steering issues right now and I think its my Rack going out so like the gear head that I am. I'm going to replace the whole suspension...lol.

Maybe someone else could chime in. I don't have time to research right now maybe tommorow though.

Here's a previous post on the PA K-member I recently bought:

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=125919

Along with these issues, I ran into another problem. The PA k-member ended up raising the motor about 1/2 inch. This effectively put my custom 3" inch exhaust right into the body (enough anyway that my exhaust was touching some of my wrapped fuel lines and heat shielding.) I had to have some plates made to space the k-member (along with the motor) back down to the stock height. Course these plates added more weight.

In retrospect, I wish I would have went with the BMR piece.
