P1153 code and speedometer needle bouncing when braking

My car a 1996 base Camaro recently threw a P1153 code suggesting an O2 sensor (bank 2 sensor 1) is either bad, or detected something.

Simultaneously, the speedometer needle started jumping or wiggling really, when I brake, or even turn on the blinkers, suggesting an electrical problem.

I recently replaced the compressor in this car. It required removing the engine ground connector. I believe the connector is tight, but should I try another ground wire to be sure? Could I have damaged a wire or sensor? Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: P1153 code and speedometer needle bouncing when braking

I cleared the code and so far there have been no more codes thrown. But my speedometer needle still wobbles rapidly (<1sec) when I hit the brakes. Is this a grounding problem? I've searched but can't find anything.

Thanks,
Pete

When I just had issues with my speedometer bouncing, it was a bad alternator. Have it checked.
