P0410 turns to P0171 and switches back
Good morning everyone,
I have a quick inquiry before I start taking everything apart. I am throwing two codes on my 96' Z28, at separate times. At first - I was throwing P0410 and the first thing I did was check the air flow relay and noticed that the housing was slightly cracked. So I went ahead and replaced the relay. Easy enough.
However, while the car felt like it was running better (stronger?), I started to throw P0171 and now there are times where I feel a...soft surge.
To just see what happens, I put the bad relay back in (essentially taking the air pump out of the picture I assume) and when I did this the P0410 threw again and the P0171 is nowhere to be found.
Before I start cleaning injectors, changing the MAF or just going through the diagnosis piece by piece, I wanted to check with all of you to see if anyone has experienced this situation before.
Thank you!
