There are lots of possibilities. We need to know a bit about your car too though. What mods do you have or is it basically stock?

Age of plugs and wires? Coil? Optispark?
Any aftermarket tuning? (after my cam install I got P0336, and it was because I was running so rich at idle it was washing out the spark...leaned it up and it went away).

First thing I'd do is check to make sure you haven't burned plug wires and/or the wires are securely snapped onto the plugs and the opti.

Then I would say double check the coil and module and make sure they are working properly...does the car drive fine or is it giving you problems?

Could very well be the opti. Mine is beginning to slowly go and I'm getting P0300 which is random missfire. I get it once every week or so over the last 6 mos. and I've had the cam in the car for over 2 yrs and never had the problem before.

well my car is running ok..

if i floor it when im ideling...it kinda hesitates till i get up to like 2500 rpms then it shots up badass...but from idle or 1000-2500 or so..it kinda laggs.

i get code 300-missfiring
and code 336- crank position sensor...

those 2 codes go hand in hand? cus i been reading posts and i notice those 2 are always together.

Could be a fault in the sensor itself then. This can be a big problem with guys with big cams, the lope makes the CPS think there is misfiring going on. But you shouldn't be having that problem.

so do i just check the plugs and wires? do i get a new sensor?

also..it was throwing code 107..map? i know what it is and what it looks like...but whats it for? if it throws that code..does that mean the map is gone? and i need a new one?

Always do the easiest/cheapest checks first. Before you go out and buy a sensor, just check the plugs/wires for good connections.

believe me...i will! lol

so check wires and plugs....wires on the spark plug and wires on the opti right? make sure they are all connected correctly.

if a wire is wronG on the spark plug or opti.....what it throw a diff code? so i can rule that out if so.

edit: forgot the G

All I'm saying is if there is a wire or wires that aren't on the plugs all the way or on the opti all the way it could cause misfires at low RPMs if the spark is not strong enough to jump the gap beween the plug wire terminal and the tip of the plug. Make sure they are all snapped down good and that none of them have burned on your headers.

ok i understand that part.

but my question is.

if i connected a wire to the wrong location on the opti...would it throw a different code?

lets say i put wire #3 on #6 and vise versa? that i got 2 wires mixed up...is that a possibilty? or would it throw a different code..or the car sound ugly...or not start...?

Possibly, because it would definitely be missfiring, but if that were the case the problem would not clear up at higher rpms, it would run like crap all the time. It is worth checking though, just make sure you have all the wires in the right order on the opti.
