P0152 and SES

My car threw a P0152 code (O2 sensor circuit high voltage, bank 2 sensor 1) tonight and the car was running really rough. I had the feeling that it had something to do with the heavy rain tonight for whatever reason, and after searching it, my suspicion seems it may be correct. The O2s have been extended (spliced, not extensions) and from what I have read it seems like water may be getting in and messing with the voltage. I can accept this cause, but is there anything else that might be doing this that I should look into?

P.S. My car and I are fighting because the damn thing ate an O2 sensor and e-brake cable last week while 350 miles from home, and now this!

I think you are correct in thinking that the spliced O2s are the cause. I used extensions on mine, and luckily have had no problems.

Re: P0152 and SES

The code sets when the O2 sensor voltage stays above 775mV for an extended period (while TPS is between 3%-20%). That would indicate either a voltage leak from the heater circuit wires in the harness, or an extremely rich condition.
