Oxygen sensors

Looks like my o2 sensor crapped out after header install and over 100k on the clock. What is the best replacement brand, AC Delco, Catco, Bosch, Delphi or does it matter?

Re: Oxygen sensors

I would stick with the Delcos, they seem to have the best success.

The only ones to use as the computer is calibrated to that brand.

Jason Cromer. Check Shoebox website for his number.

Buy most of my stuff from Dal. His wife had a health issue he's been dealing with and a little slower about getting parts out, but you can't beat his pricing.

Think most people don't change 02 sensors often enough. I found they make a big difference on how well a car runs. A true tune up.

Re: Oxygen sensors

Not to hijack but Denny, do you have any updates on your motor? What did you decide to go with. Last I saw was 450 something RWHP.

Re: Oxygen sensors

I have not called Cromer yet, but I saw an e-bay guy selling new AC Delco AFS75 (GM #25312184) sensors in the plastic bag for like $22 bucks. I'm pretty sure those are the correct ones for my car....

Not sure where to start but we got to 483 rwhp and added a set of stepped headers with merge collectors which did nothing. Then I replaced the ported LT4 intake with a 6" runner sheetmetal gaining 47 ftlbs of torque @ 3000 rpm making more power up to 6100 rpm and then loosing 20 @ 7000 rpm.

Painted the car (never do it again) and now on track to recam the car to see if we can recover the top end power which I think we will do easily. Hoping to get close to 500rwhp with a hydraulic cam but we will see how it goes.

This painting the car stuff was about five times more than I had planned on getting into. Kinda one of those things once you start you have to finish or we would have the cam done by now.

Re: Oxygen sensors

$22 for AC Delcos can't be beat. I'd go ahead and get them, as long as they are the right part number on a sealed bag.
