oversized valves in stock heads

oversized valves in stock heads

Just wondering if there is any machining or anything special needed to use 2.00 adn 1.56 valvesin bone stock heads.

They will take up to 2.02/1.6 but you would want larger seats to benefit from them.

I went with 2.00/1.57 . They are as big as I would go in stock seats.

The 2.00 and 1.56/1.57 's will fit with stock seats BUT the seats will need to be machined for the to work. You do not have to REPLACE the seats like you would if you go with 2.02/2.05' and 1.60's to get them to seal correctly.

Just making sure that you are not just "installing" the valves with NO machine work. As long as there is a valve job done for the larger valves than they will work fine. If you just put them in the heads with NO machining, they will NOT work. Just take the valves to the machine shop with the heads and tell them to "make these valves work with these heads".
