overheating prob

all was going well till i changed the coolent temp sensor. i changed it cus it was broken i drove my car for 20 min and the temp was going up and steem was all over. after the steam was gone i saw the lower radiator hose poped right out of the outlet from the radiator. there is a brand new pump. i was guessing a faulty thermostat. any suggestions

Which temp sensor did you change - the one in the head or the one in the water pump housing? What do you mean by "broken" - physically damaged, or incorrect resistance? Was it overheating before you changed it? And now its continuing to overheat after you changed it?
