Over heating problem??

Over heating problem??

i got a 95 z28, and this morning i was just cruisin along when my temp gauge started to rise, so i pulled over, and noticed that the car had start steeming.....well to make this alot shorter, a hose blew, i replaced it, and then went to start the car again, and it started to over heat again...???? i had a 180 stat in it, but never changed the computer, soo im wondering do i got back to the 160???? thanx

Make sure the system is bled real good. If you've still got the mechanical pump, wait 'till the car is cold again, start it up and take it out on the freeway and run the **** out of it a couple times. It will help blow the air out of the system.

This is why I like my electric pump. I ran the pump for 15-20 minutes before even starting the car.
