Over Heating After 180 Thermo Install

I did a 180 thermo install and my green car is over heating very quickly. I thought there was air in the lines so i bled it many times. I topped it off with 50/50 and still i am over heating. It was running perfectly untill i did the install. Also, i just installed a tranny cooler in place of the a/c condenser. Do you think the heat from the tranny cooler is causing the radiator to get hot? I think i am going to bypass the heater core next cuz maybe its clogged. Any suggestions?

there is no way the tranny cooler is getting that hot to overheat the radiator. you sure you seated the thermo stat correctly? how hot does it get?

Did you get the correct LT1 thermostat? The standard small block Chevy one might not work properly.

Take the new stat and put it in a pot of boiling water and see if it opens.

I would try bleeding the air out again. and again. and again.

When I put in my 160 Deg Thermostat, I had the same problem. My buddy stopped by and pointed out that the hoses were soft and cold.... then suggested we bleed the air out

So well we bleed the air out agaain and voila Problem solved

So i'mma gonna be that guy and say 'Bleed the Air Out'

Or as suggested you may have a bad Thermostat

Air in the system is a lot more common than a bad thermostat.
