It's leaking out the dipstick tube? You can loosen a few of the pan bolts to let some drain out then recheck.

if you empty the pan on average about 4-5 but start with 4 and get it hot run through all gears and then check it again fill accordingly

acctually,

from the 3 tranny people i have talked to.even LT1dave.........my rebuilder...........

too much fluid wont hurt a thing. if you over fill it. it will squrit out the top of the tranny througha small tube at wot or whenever the fluid reaches the top.

no harm can come from too much fluid. ...thats a fact.....

if you think otherwise

call LT1dave at 1-513-509-5861

either is fine , and BTW this is a tech forum not a guess forum only for sures should be posted here you are not the one that is going to buy him a new tranny if it blows are you? that tube is not that big if it builds too much pressure that little hose is not going to let it out fast enough. before it blows internal seals. do things the right way not the i guess way or someone told me way.
