Out of sheer curiousity...

What is the largest motor (in terms of displacement) that can be put in a 94 camaro and still be able to keep the hood on/closed?

Yeah, Jon Moss at GM built an LT1 Z28, but swapped in a ZL1 all aluminum big block. That had a ton of custom parts though, and not worth the effort just to get 600-700 horse.

I guy at my school claims he put a 409 in an '02, personally I find it hard to believe. (although i dont know exactly how much wider a 409 would be) Seems theres less than 2 inches to spare between the fenders and the manifolds on my car

ive never seen anything other than a small block in an LT1.
I heard of an LT5, an LS1- but never a big block. I refuse to believe that can fit without major fabrication.

you can stroke the LT1 to a 40x though I believe.
