Ordered my cam :) XE 224/230

Just got off the phone with Seth at combo a little while ago.

Ordered the 224/230 XE on a 112 LSA grind (the whole kit w/ rockers, springs and stuff), LT4 Extreme Duty Timing Set, Oversized Cloyes sprocker for the set, all the necessary gaskets, and a few extra random parts I needed.. got my free pushrods too with the rest of the set

Thanks for all the help Seth

Sweet Javier, just curious why you picked that cam over others that are available? Want to keep the peak power at a little lower rpm or something else? Anywho you'll be happy

Well, right now since I don't have the funds to port the heads I didn't want to go to big on the stock heads.. and I was originally planning hotcam, but this seems to be a much better setup for me.. it's just big enough to do the extra damage that i'd like it to do

i can't wait to tear into the motor and get it in....

the peak power is exactly where I want it to be.. I'm going to raise the stall to about 3200 and pick up a set of 3.73's in a few months probably... that will make for a dirty launch

Cool beans Javier!!! Hurry & get it in the car & get it to the track. I want to see whay you run!! If you beat my times with my Hot Cam I just may have to get that cam. You know so I can be like you!!!!

Seriously congrats. You will love it. I wish I lived by you. I would love to assist in the project. I am getting the itch to tear into mine again. If only the funds were unlimited. It would be then that "Life Would Be Grand" !!!

Maybe I'll take a vacation & fly down to help you!!!! What do you think? Na. I don't fly!!!

Keep me posted.....

Sweet Javi, I didn't think you'd be doing it this soon though.

I'm gonna have to get dem headers on pretty quick so we can line up before you get anymore mods...

I am extremely jealous you are getting that setup. I am in the middle of porting a set of heads and plan on going with that cam someday. Due to limited fundage, I will have to take my time and hope for someone to sell a used one.
Best of luck with the setup.

Eddie -> until I get the converter restalled and some ET Streets on it I'm not sure how well it will perform, but it will up top that's for sure I will most definitely let you know my progress.. come on down and hang out! hehehe the weather's WARM...

Aaron-> neither did I I just got the mod itch

Jeff -> I've been waiting a long time to do something major like this, don't feel bad

I swear my favorite part about my car is its lack of MPH and nasty ET that people are just so jealous of.. I find that mostly in my local LS1 dominated club The car has the MPH it should, guess they can't figure that out.. I'm about to fix that though
