Optispark Seal

I put my motor together and had some left over gaskets!! One was a squared off round rubber seal (about4" diamater). I put this one behind the optispatk up against the timing cover! Is this right????? The other ones were just like two big O rings! what are those for?? also about 4" diamater. please help

There shouldnt be any seal between the TC and the opti. There is a seal you press into the TC and thats called the opti seal but nothing more. It would help if you had pics of the seals.

Yes it doesnt belong there. The only seal should be the one pressed into the timing cover directly behind the opti. To be honest with you I dont see how anything could even fit behind the opti.

the seal fit right in the round cutout behind the opti (around the pin slot). well this sucks now that the engine is already in the car!
