I am replacing a bad optispark on my 96 Z28, A4. Only problem is that when I try to get the camshaft balancer off( the 3 bolts on the outside of it) it just spins and will not loosen. Anyone have a solution?

 

are you talking about the crankshaft hub? if so, just rotate it using the center bolt, make sure car is in neutral, so that the ears arent sticking up, and you should be able to remove it
