optispark

can someone please tell me why my optispark burnt a hole thru the back of it and know i replaced it and not 50 miles later this one is the same way

The "back" would be the aluminum plate that mounts to the block. Do you mean the front? Pictures would be nice.

Do you have some sort of aftermarket ignition system or coil?
