Options for the crossover steam line on the heads?

Has anyone replaced the steam line that crosses over from the driver's side head to the passenger's with braided line and AN fittings, or any other option other than the stock hard line?

Are you wanting to ditch the line or something? I don't think it hurts because I broke the end off of my radiator and plugged it off and there was no temperature difference.

Yep. I don't feel like modifying the line and it interferes with my Hogan's intake as-is.

It looks like the fittings may be 1/4"-18 NPT, but I haven't tested that "theory" yet. The banjo bolts are definitely 18 tpi, but there's no noticeable taper. They fit the 1/4" hole in my NPT thread gauge, though and aren't really close on any of the others. BTW, everyone should have a set of these gauges.

Jim,
How do you go about planning on using AN stuff and keeping the banjo bolt functionality?

No banjo bolts, obviously. A 90-degree NPT to AN fitting in the driver's side head to a T-fitting (NPT to 2 AN) in the passenger's side head, to the front of the engine.

haha Makes sense, I guess it was a little too early for me to think that simple.
