As in you have to pass emissions? How strict? EGR and AIR are required for inspection, not to mention no EGR makes it harder to pass NOx. Removing EGR will give you a SES light (which would require a tune to remove).

And what do you want to keep? By your guidelines, you could delete power steering, A/C, and ABS. A little more info would help.

Egr delete

I,d be leary about deleting the egr as k/r must be monitored closely!I had k/r thru the a++ and putting a new one fixed the problem. The tech section in Car Craft had a real good answer about why deleting it is a bad deal.Btw, i deleted the air pump when i installed headers and didn,t get chk engine light and it cleaned engine bay up and yes i,m still running a cat

Well from what i've saw and read....Theres no performance gain by removing the EGR and some people are against it because of the K/R. It also doesn't really clean up the engine bay since its on the back of the intake. For this reason, I just left mine on

Refer to a Car Craft article(Aug/03) and then buy a threaded brass plug from any auto store for 2-3 dollars.
