Optimax and Tune Up...160K milage...
Whos knows the price to have a shop do it?
I can turn a wrench pretty good and it doesn't worry me to do it myself, but I don't know how long it would take? Any suggestions? as to which OPTIMAX i should purchase.
Thanx

I believe your asking about what optispark to buy. I would go ac delco or delphi as they tend to have the fewest problems and last the longest. As for what a shop will charge for install my guess would be $400 plus depending on shop rate.

Just go with a coil on plug conversion kit and you'll be set. Do some searching around here and you can find out where to get one for your car. Then atleast you won't have to pull ur water pump to do the job.

The Bailey LTCC requires a healthy Opti cam position sensor. The EFIConnection 24X conversion requires complete removal of the front of the engine to install a new timing cover with provision for a cam position sensor. The Delteq system is no longer available.
There is no reason a stock/bolt-on setup can't work fine with the Opti. Appears he got 160,000 miles out of the first one.
It would be helpful to have a "Signature" indicating the year of the car, and any major mods.
