which opti. vented or non vented

i have a 94 camaro with the 2000 front end converion and the guy that owned it before me siad that he put a new motor in it before i bought it. and now the opti is messing up and im not sure if it has vented or non vented. i was wondering if i could get some advice or even pictures to compare what i have. i have heard that the later model 94 have the vented one and im not sure if he put a 95 one in or nt. thanks.

Easiest way is to see whether or not there is a hose coming from the optispark to the intake elbow. If so that means there is a vented opti in there.

And make sure it is the optispark, there a pain in the *** to do and it may be something much more simple.

yes there will be a tube going to the top of the opti and they arent to hard to change, just do some research and you will be fine.

Why are you convinced it's the opti? It can be an awfully expensive fix if you're guessing.

the car has 130000 miles and it has been missing for a while and i was going to put wires on it but i was just going to do the opti so it will be done. i heard these things just go on you any time.

If it's the original opti, than I would definitely replace it with 130K miles. How about the plugs?
