I don't think I want to take a gamble on a Chandler/etc. unit.
Have you looked at Summit or Jegs for a GM unit?

Delteq is like out of business. Scratch it off the list.

That ship has long sailed. I just need the car to run right with it.

Hope you don't need any technical support/parts for it, since there does not seem to be any.

Yeah that's what I have found out recently on here. Kind of sucks, well, really sucks.

Jerks.

What about Ion/MadZ28? Is he still in business?

Re: OPTI-SPARK* Many Choices

Reminds me of my Electromotive "Super Direct Ignition/Opti-Eliminator" setup install back in 1997..... same designer, same abandonment of buyers.

Re: OPTI-SPARK* Many Choices

That's a shame.

I have an Electromotive Tec3 setup for my Mustang I got a while back second-hand. Haven't started on that car yet.

Re: OPTI-SPARK* Many Choices

It wasn't Electromotive that was the problem, it was the techie who designed the SDI/O-E. Before he worked at Electromotive, he worked for Hypertech and worked on the Power Programmer for the LT1.

Re: OPTI-SPARK* Many Choices

Oh OK good. Bummer, seems like this guy left a path.

I guess I have 3 options.

1. $200 for a used 1K mile "partsladi" GM opti "before she started ripping everyone off.
2. $360 or so for a new GM opti.
3. $525 for a 'optical' opti (Gen III) from Dynaspark or $600 for a Gen II opti 'in case' the Delteq craps out.

Re: OPTI-SPARK* Many Choices

Option 2. I've had to do my opti twice and never want to again. Number 2. Spend the extra money.
