i just got my msd cap and rotor and it has 2 rubber orings do i need to install them with any thing like a little motor oil or do i just put them in dry

 

Yeah, lube them up with motor oil or silicone grease. Either will work just fine and keep you from tearing them or rolling them out of their grooves and cutting them.

BTW If you have any silicone dielectric grease that you use on plug wires it has always worked the best for me on o-rings.
