Opti rotor screws!!

I am replacing the cap and rotor on an OEM Opti w/ the MSD replacement parts. In the process of removing the OEM (very tight) rotor screws, the heads were stripped. The MSD rotor screws are very short and don't look like they will engage enough mounting threads to hold. I do plan to call MSD to see if they have longer mounting screws for their rotors.

I have looked extensively for the OEM screws which I believe are #3-32. I can find #3-48, but not #3-32. I realize that due to the difference in threads per inch I can not substitute the #3-48 for the #3-32.

What other options do I have? I am concerned about retapping the mounting threads as I don't want to contaminate the optical components w/ filings. This should not have to be this difficult!! Very frustrating....

Any help will be very appreciated.

Thanks!
Mike

i looked i have a few cap screws but not any rotor screws. if it is just the head that stripped then get a small grinder like a little air one or something or better yet maybe just a small file, and cut a slot in the top of the screw and make it into a flat head screw and use a small flat head screwdriver. use a drop of loctite on them.
