Lightbulb Opti Replacement?

I don't need a new opti but what is this? It looks like an opti, smells like an opti... cheaper than any GM parts dealer and comes with the same warranty.

So why wouldn't you order this? Anything look fishy to anyone?

Re: Opti Replacement?

The only thing that looks fishy is I think GM is the only company that makes the opti. This might be a new unit but I bet it is a refurb. Plus I think Autozone sells remans for $179. I would email them and ask if it's a reman.

Re: Opti Replacement?

The thing is, you can buy a new GM opti for maybe $220 or less.

Re: Opti Replacement?

The old "urban legend mill" states that auto manufacturers have replacement parts for 10 years.
1996 + 10 = the year 2006

Does that mean GM won't provide Opti-Sparks after 2006?
