Assuming your reasonably mechanically inclined you basically remove the waterpump and then you can get to the opti.
Its not easy but its nowhere near the hardest thing you will ever do.
Give it a shot and if you get stuck just get on here and ask questions.

 

does shoebox have any picture guides?

 

You can just follow the dissection of the front of the engine for cam removal, but just stop when you get the opti out.
