opti placement

I just got my new opti today and before I install it I want to make sure I get it right the first time. I'm assuming the dowel pin is supposed to go into the hole on the opti that has the little notch out of it? If thats correct, how can I make sure it's in there right? It's kinda hard to see when your putting it on.
Thanks

I would mark the location of the rotor on the old Opti, before you take it off. Put the new Opti on with the rotor in the same position. The "margin" for error is 120deg. You should be able to hit it right by orientating the rotor the same way on the old and new units.

Re: opti placement

Well the old opti is already out and I think I may have bumped it from it's original spot, so I guess I'll just kinda eyeball it and try to put it in the correct spot. If the margin for error is 120 then it shouldn't be much of problem.

It can go on several ways (as many have proven). It only goes on correctly one way.
