opti install

i noticed that my old opti had some type of sealant on it, can anuone tell me what type of sealant to put on it or is there some type of gasket

I also wanted to no if the opti is supposed to slide in easily or is a little force required. Mines doesn't seem to want to go in.

what year car?

I have a 94 and the opti has a small notch cut out in between the splines. It has to be lined up with the spindle properly.

No sealant is required with the opti. Are you putting in a new GM opti? Did you line the splines up like naaz90 said?
