Which opti to get?

I'm getting ready to put my new engine in my car and I'm going to be using the LTCC so all the opti is going to do is act as an optical trigger with no high voltage going thru it. I'm getting a new opti because the car is a 94 but the cam has the long drive pin which requires a different (95-97) opti, and I can't see dropping $400 - $550 for just an optical trigger. I was looking on ebay and found a supposed new AC Delco opti for $115 and another one made by these guys:
Just wondering which one I should go with, thanks.

GM Reference Part# 1104032
BRAND NEW PART
2009 SERIES
VENTED OPTISPARK DISTRIBUTOR

All new 2009 design distributor, exceeds the OEM AC Delco in Build and Quality. Uses our own Mitsubishi Spec. AIP Optical Encoder for the most accurate/ dependable LT1 Distributor.

BEWARE - MUST READ
Most other aftermarket LT1 distributors being sold on ebay are not revised in any way and are not OEM specification. They are being made overseas with sub-par production quality standards and being sold here on ebay for ridiculously low prices. We have sold many of these poor quality distributors in the past and have first hand experience with the optical encoder in these distributors prematurely failing due to poor construction and quality. Why take the risk? This is why we have designed our own optical encoder specifically for this distributor.
Our AIP LT1 Optical Encoder is temp rated at 330° and produces an accurate timing reference signal up to 8000 RPM, exceeding the OEM mitsubishi encoder used in the AC Delco factory LT1 distributors. It is greatly superior to all other encoders found in any other aftermarket LT1 distributor being sold on ebay. For information and pictures showing the differences between overseas aftermarket optical encoders and our own, email us at sales@all-ignition.com or call 831-621-1703

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A BRAND NEW LT1/LT4 DISTRIBUTOR with the UPGRADED AIP Optical Encoder COMPLETE WITH CAP AND ROTOR

You do not want to go with them. They have a very, very bad reputation. You need to get one from the partsladi on ebay(true Delco) or get one from GM. Check around on the for sale forums and you can usually get one of of the true delco or GM ones fairly cheap.

If you do a search on Optis you will find a lengthy post on EBAY OPTI by All Ignition, A lot of people had problems with them. I didnt, mine works fine. I have had it in for about a 18 months now. On the advise of some of our members I took the cap off, and put loctite on the rotor screws. Recently my brothers stock opti went, when I took it apart the rotor was shattered because the screws came loose. I gave him a spare Opti from my old motor, took the cap off, and the screws were loose on that one.

The dowel pin length does not force you to use any particular opti. If it is too long, you can shorten it. All you have to do is make sure it does not contact the back of a non-vented opti.

You'll also need a 95-97 timing cover, a 95-97 opti wire harness, and a 95-97 opti vacuum harness to run a 95-97 opti in your 94.

I do not have rotor problems after 5 opti failures, but, now I have had 7 road failures on a Summit opti (1 year old). About 20 miles into the ride, I loose all ignition. Upon application of finger load to the optical encoder connector, the engine re-starts. I suspect a heat soak problem in the encoder since there is very good performance when cold (I never get over 180*f with Evans). I have to believe all-ignition.com claim about bad manufactured encoders. But, I always use a rivet mod to the stock sonic welded rivet. With the price of these opti's, I'm trying all-ignition.com opti for 300. B.
