Opti conversion Question
Opti conversion Question
Do you have to change any other part to convert from a 93 to a 94+ opti. Not sure heard you might have to replace the old wiring harness with a newer one. Let me know, Thanks.
Actually went to the shop they're re-installing my motor at and they said that the sensor in the top right corner of the opti wouldn't fit with wiring my older 93 opti fit with. Do you have to replace that wiring with a newer wiring harness. Will the car fire up without this wiring hooked up. Not sure what to do, do you have to change other parts when you upgrade to a new distributor.
arnt the 93-94 opti's the same? I know the 95 up is differant, to convert to a 95 up one you need differant timming cover, longer pin in the cam, all related vaccume hoses. and I think a differant opti harness. I thought the 93's were the same as the 94's.

"sensor in the top right corner"
Don't know what they mean. 93 and 94 had the same optis.
I now have a 95 opti with the newer timing cover a different cam and so on just didn't change harnesses and was wandering if I needed another harness and shoebox your right it is on the upper right side, is that where the harness should connect, what is that connection for? Thanks
