OK right now I have a 94 Block thats in the midst of a rebuild. I just bought a 97 Harness and Computer.
I read the info that was kind of vague for the OBD2 on this site

My question is what else will I need besides the 97+ Cover, 97+ Opti to use with my 97 Harness? I am already getting a Cam and Chain, so I would just order it as if it were a 97.

Also is the crank and everything else the same, will I have other problems with the harness in other areas of the engine?

By the way this is going into what was a V6 94 Camaro.

 

the 97 harness has a crank sensor that the 94 doesn't have. Also it depends on the year of the car that your putting it into but the o2's are different in 97 then 94. the coil was different in 94 then 97. Thant's all I can think of right at this minute.

 

The knock sensor will have to be out of a '96-'97 car as well. Other than that, I can't think of something else that would be 96-97 specific. Did you mean your opti is a 94? Because if it is, then I'd highly recommend getting a 95 style cam/opti. (vented)
