how much better is the msd opti vs the stock bec i hate change them out i want the best . 1 day i might just go carb and HEI and be done with it

Find "thepartslady" on E-bay. She has the best deals on acdelco/delphi opti's.

If you ask 10 people this question you will get 10 different answers.

Plus its been debated 100X on this board alone.

IMHO, go with what is proven. The ACdelco OEM unit.

 

I have some super info.,I bought a ebay opti,(thats a super no no)I tried three ,all bad with different problems,alot of labor down the drain ,but I at least got my money back.Cardone(cardone select) has a all new american assembeld,and tested opti for about a $175 with a lifetime warranty,I have 5 thousand miles on mine ,no probs.

 

cardone is the autozone opti's, i just went threw 3 bad ones and just ordered a gm opti, dont waste your time, just get a genuine gm opti.

 

GM opti is the best and only opti you should get. Ive had 4 camaro's and its the only way to go

 

I am not being a know it all,but it is impossible you had 3 (cardone select)optis,they were just now released to the public,and delphi supplies internals,you were buying the A-1 cardone remans,you can not even get this part at the zone .A person will have to go to a known A-1 cardone dealer and have them order you one#84-1832.I Agree the remans were junk,this new part look as good as a delco.I worked at a parts store for 8yrs,and my old boss got me some parts for z28 ,but at that time the only opti was the reman.,then on my third ebay opti he called and said he got a news letter on them,I told him to get me one,I got one before they were released to the public about 3 months ago,I think you will probably still have to order one.Chris

Would I be correct in assuming that the opti you got was for a 94? Thats what I need.

go with a gm.i think we have had no luck with any other brand(Accel,msd,summit,any reman.ect).a guy we were doing work for cheaped out and bought a summit brand and it went out 2days later(lasted longer than i though).AC Delco all the way and ill argue that til my head falls off lol.
