I believe that i am haveing opti problems. missing as low as 4500. Is this typical when an opti goes out? the opti has been drowned under water and the car killed. I am looking at the gm replacement for 285 do i also need the cap and rotor for like 100?

The replacement optispark should come with a cap and rotor as it is a fully assembled unit.
