Opti ?
Has anyone took apart there opti and just cleaned it out and it worked good. The reason iam asking is i'm broke and i need to try to get my car running for atleast for a month or two.

alot of times you'll find the tip of the rotor is burned and or corroded and alot of times the optis die because of the bearing have excessive shaft play
the cap and rotor can be replaced like an old school dist. the bearing cant (not easily or worth it anyway)
your best bet (sometimes it really seems like it is a gamble too) is too buy new

the seller in that link "oliversasha" has alot of used optis for sale
he sold me a used rear opti plate with good optical sensor and good bearing for $40
has been working good so far
he'll work with ya too
