opinions on slp 2800 stall

I know the vigilante is better but I cannot spend the 700 bones. The car is gonna be a cam and bolt on car. It is a vert so it won't see the track very often. If you have the slp 2800 stall, how do you like it? My last z had the slp 2400 and I liked it alot.
Thanks
Brandon

if you know that the vig is better, wouldnt it be better to spend a lil more or save till you could afford it? Esp is you plan to keep the car for along time and mod it more ya know?

Thats just what i think....altho the SLP is a good t.c... if possible, i'd go with the vig, esp if you know its better

good luck!

I haven't used the Vig. But if you want a good TQ for the dollar. I got my TCI 3200 for right around $500 or so.

I bought a used Vig. 3000rpm with low low miles for $500 bucks. I'd recommend doing something like that if you can't afford one new.

You mean if you already own one? If you bought it new I know Vig. guarantee's one free stall change. I dunno if you bought it used if they do that or not. Either way if you had to pay I'd assume it's probably a couple hundred bucks.

Hmmmmm, if you pay 450 or 500 for a used convetor, then pay 100 or 200 to have it restalled, then whats the point? Unless you find the stall you need.

The point is to just buy the stall you need. Like I did. If your looking for 2800-3000rpm stall that's what just about everyone on here has. So it should be easy to find. Plus I've seen them cheaper than what I paid, but I got mine with hardly any miles on it. You get what you pay for. Vig. is worth it, I have met people running that converter for 5-8 years and not a single problem. It's just a well made product. Don't waste your money buying something that you need to get restalled before you even install it. Just buy the size you want. The reason to get it restalled would be if someday down the road your car eventually got really really modded and you just needed a higher stall. Someday if my car ever turns into a full out drag car I'm gonna raise my stall to 3500-3800.
