They are considered in par with stockers. Should hold 450hp as advertised withougt problem. They are perfect for a non power adder stroker.

I ended up using them in my NEW Stroker motor instead of forged pistons. They are tighter and lighter, which is a good thing. The motor will last a lot longer before the next rebuild. The machine shop that I used had talked me into going with the KBs instead of the forged pistons.

They also are very strong pistons. Keith Black has sprayed 500 shot of NOS with their pistons. Yes, 500 shot. I went with everything else forged in my motor. It really depends what you plan on doing with your motor. But unless you are getting very radical the KBs are a great choice.

Keith Black pistons are great for a N/A setup, are pretty light, and do not have the forged piston/wall issues, but are more brittle than a Forged piston. I would not use a Keith Black piston for use with forced induction or N20. N/A they would be a great reliable piston.

I have used several sets of KB over the years and the ltest was in a 383 that was with an eagle kit from jegs, I built the motor for my freinds car and it has really hel up well we have run on occation 150 shot of nitrous at the track and its still ticking. I used a set when I rebuilt the motor in my 87 GTA (350) and that was a good 11 years ago and its still toolong around. (with a crazy driver behind the wheel.) I have noticed that there is no piston slap whatsoever at start-up with the KBs and I set the ring endgaps pretty tight (except on the nitrous used one).
