Question OPEN Vs 3.0" Vs 2.5"

when it comes to exhaust some of those who install 3.0" and X pipes on long tubes said it is to big, you should go with 2.5". I know the size of the pipes depands on the HP. the old school says run open exhaust when you are racing.
Some said our Lt's need some back pressure so the O2 works.
I am planing to run N2O about 250HP. So what should I run.
any input about exhaust systems N/A or on the bottle please.
every one is ivited to submit his post.

Some backpressure is good for the O2 sensor?

That's a new one on me. Did they ever give you a reason why that would be true. I'd have to call bologna on that one.

Over the years the majority of us older guys have learned that "open exhaust" is not always the "best" thing. I've even seen power gains over open with mufflers like the Borla XR header mufflers and other guys have too.

For your engine, running 250 hp worth of nitrous you could use the extra exhaust. I'd go 3" and x-pipe and I'd never look back.
